I'm originally from the charming river town of Dubuque, Iowa - "Masterpiece on the Mississippi", they like to call themselves. (Most others prefer "Dubuque? Where's that?") I graduated from Hempstead High School in 1998, Central College in 2002, and after a few miscellaneous adventures in employment, came to the University of Iowa in the fall of 2004. I graduated with my PhD in 2010 and accepted a job at Disney Animation.
